OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS

Due to transport safety regulations, batteries are delivered from factories in a partially discharged state, most often with a load condition in the range of 20% - 30% of electric capacity. A brand new battery in this condition can be stored for a maximum period of 1.5 years without loss of parameters in the recommended, optimal temperature and humidity conditions.

Longer storage is possible under the condition of regular checks of cell parameters and possible maintenance activities, in particular charging to the state of charge with approx. 50% of their capacity and further checking the condition of the batteries at intervals of maximum every 6 months.

The batteries are subject to the aging process and they naturally lose their parameters during use. The typical estimated lifetime of a Li-ion battery is four to ten years or 800-5000 full cycles. Depending on the application, 800-3500 duty cycles are typically achieved. The cycle life can be increased by regularly using the batteries in incomplete cycles, accepting a slightly shorter operating time in each cycle. This means charging to an incomplete level (the end of charging at the level of e.g. 90%, not 100%) and preventing discharging to 0%.
