Today Omron Corporation is led by the President Yoshihito Yamada and is a global leader in automation, and provides various products and solutions from fields of industrial automation, electronic component industries and healthcare.

The company is based in Kyoto, Japan, with offices around the world, in locations such as Kyoto, Singapore, Hong Kong, Amsterdam and Chicago. They operate in over 120 countries all around the world. They have divisions of four main trade departments: industrial automation, healthcare, inspection systems, and electronic components.  

Omron delivers products and solutions, such as: sensors - fiber sensors, photoelectric, measurement sensors, vision sensors, photo micro, ultrasonic, pressure sensors, liquid leakage sensors, condition monitoring; switches - level, basic, limit switches, push buttons and indicator lamps; safety components - safety door switches, safety mats, safety laser scanners, safety limit switches, safety edges, safety light curtains, safety multi-light and single-beam safety sensors, emergency stop switches; relays; control components like counters, cam positioners, timers, timer switches, digital temperature controllers; automation systems - machine automation controllers, industrial pc platforms, programmable controllers, software, networks, drives; servo motors, servo drivers and inverters; robotics - arms, robot controllers, and vision systems.

They also provide components for industrial and mobile robots, and services for energy conservation support and environment measure and monitor equipment. Additionally they deliver uninterruptible power supply (ups), axial fans, uv-light curing systems, and various wiring systems.

Omron Company operates in compliance with many internationally acknowledged directives, such as REACH, which aims to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances, RoHS directive that decreases the allowed limit of hazardous substances in the electronic and electric devices (EEE) sold in the European Union, and WEEE regulation - The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment.
