1. Description

The IVT 3 current sensor from Isabellenhuette is a compact, precise device for current measurement, built on a platform concept to which functional components can be added for many different applications. The device operates up to 4000 A. The Pro version additionally supports insulation resistance monitoring and 3 or 6 voltage measurement channels. The IVT 3 series has been developed in accordance with ISO 26262:2018 (Road vehicles - Functional safety).

  • The IVT 3 series can be used in a wide range of DC applications, such as:
  • Hybrid vehicles and electric battery vehicles
  • Stationary energy storage systems
  • Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems
  • Battery-based applications
  • Fuel cells
  • Industrial applications

  • Current measurement based on shunt (ASIL C)
  • 3 or 6 voltage measurement inputs (ASIL B)
  • Active insulation monitoring (ASIL B)
  • Temperature measurement
  • Nominal current measurement range: ±1,000 A
  • Extended measurement range: ±4,000 A
  • Total accuracy ± (0.4% of true value + 0.1 A) *(across the entire temperature range from -40 °C to 125 °C)
  • Insulation in accordance with basic insulation ISO 60664
