V Series of Fuse Resistors

V Series Fusible Resistors

  • High impulse energy rating
  • High fire-resistant packaging
  • Thermal cut-off at 250 VAC
  • Safe disconnect

Available Configurations:

  • Two-terminal device/series-integrated fuse
  • Four-terminal device/5kV isolation between fuse and independent resistor

V Series fusible resistors offer high surge energy with higher average power for repetitive operations.

They introduce a thermal cut-off to ensure safe disconnect in case of circuit failure.

The high-temperature, fire-resistant DAP housing with cement filling is designed to provide gentle failure and thermal opening during a short circuit. The thermal cut-off can interrupt 10 A at 250 VAC.

Two configurations are offered, a two-terminal device with a series-integrated fuse, and a four-terminal device with 5kV isolation between the fuse and independent resistor.

Pill-type Pressed Resistors

  • High Voltage Withstanding Strength
  • High impulse energy rating
  • 100% active material
  • Compact size
  • Practically non-inductive
  • Various sizes available
  • Various metallizations available

HVR pill-type pressed resistors are designed for use as suppressors in spark plugs. The pressed pills are made from a precisely formulated mixture of clay, alumina, and carbon. After mixing, the material is pressed into the required shape and then fired in a controlled environment at high temperatures. This sintering process produces a ceramic, carbon resistor that is 100% active material with minimal dimensions.

Dimensional Code Explanation

Each resistor type is assigned a 4-digit code, the first two digits indicate the nominal active diameter (D) in mm, and the last two digits indicate the nominal active length (L) of the resistor in mm. Based on this information, the volume of active material (v) can be determined.

The following sizes are available:

Type Nominal Diameter (D) mm Nominal Length (L) mm
LC-0311 3.0 11.0
LC-0610 6.0 10.0
LC-0615 6.0 15.0
