Application

Specially adapted as a minimum or maximum value thermostat for air inlet control or fan control in ventilation and air conditioning systems. It can also be used as an overheat thermostat in electric heating systems and gas or oil-fired heaters.

(**) Sparkproof / Cold Protection: The devices are resistant to damage, specifically, the burner is shut off if the sensor-filling medium leaks, for example, in the case of sensor damage. Since negative temperatures reduce the filling medium's volume, leading to a similar effect as sensor damage, the devices are adjusted using a "cold screw" so that the burner is turned off at temperatures below -15°C. They can be reset above approximately -5°C by pressing the reset button.



Overheat Protection

The device provides protection against uncontrolled overheating, which can be caused by the accumulation or gradual loss of the filling medium in the capillary tube due to invisible damage to the tube, etc. The sensor fuse blows when the temperature reaches 220°C, resulting in the deactivation of the device due to the loss of the filling medium in the capillary tube. After such an event, the burner cannot be reactivated, and the device is no longer suitable for use. It can only serve as a signal that the temperature has reached 220°C.
