EMC training

In addition to its product offerings, DACPOL also offers participation in training sessions dedicated to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), aimed at introducing the topic of threats related to the impact of electric and magnetic fields on electronic systems.

Our training sessions aim to:

  • Understand electromagnetic compatibility – teaching how to design, test, and evaluate devices for compliance with EMC standards.
  • Eliminate electromagnetic interference – helping to identify and reduce interference that may negatively affect the operation of electronic devices.
  • Meet standards and regulations – providing knowledge on standards such as IEC, CISPR, EN, FCC, and MIL-STD, which are required for product certification.
  • Improve the quality and reliability of devices – teaching methods for designing and testing equipment to ensure it is resistant to interference and does not emit excessive electromagnetic signals.
  • Reduce costs and time to market – by avoiding costly revisions resulting from non-compliance with EMC standards.

EMC training is essential for electronics engineers, PCB designers, test specialists, and companies manufacturing electronic devices that need to comply with legal requirements.

Sample EMC training agenda:

Introduction

  • Emission model generated by an electronic device
  • Impact of circuit parameters on emissions
  • Magnetic and electric fields generated by tested devices
  • Module/device as a transmitting antenna
  • Radiation coupling mechanism – from near field to far field

System design and assembly

  • Printed circuit boards
  • Single-, double-, and multi-layer layouts
  • Wiring
  • Connecting with adjacent modules and metal elements
  • Radiation from components
  • Magnetic field compensation
  • Filters

Interfaces

  • Various modifications and their impact on interfaces
  • Connector design compliant with EMC
  • Shielding and cable structure

Additionally, it is possible to participate in training at the Langer company headquarters in Dresden, with whom we cooperate in the field of EMC consulting. These are two-day seminars combined with practical workshops, during which theoretical issues can be personally observed on built measurement setups, and participants can conduct tests themselves.

A joint trip with representatives of our company is possible.

Available dates:

  • 07.04.2025 - EMC Training – Immunity (2 days)
  • 09.04.2025 - EMC Training – Emission (2 days)
  • 10.11.2025 - EMC Training – Immunity (2 days)
  • 12.11.2025 - EMC Training – Emission (2 days)

Additionally, we also offer paid EMC training sessions held at our company headquarters. They are organized in two-part thematic blocks, but it is possible to participate in various topics from different blocks.

Current dates:

  • 15.04 - EMC 1 - EMC Testing and Phenomena
  • 16.04 - EMC 2 - EMC Design
  • 16.06 - EMC 1 - EMC Testing and Phenomena
  • 17.06 - EMC 2 - EMC Design
  • 29.10 - EMC 1 - EMC Testing and Phenomena
  • 30.10 - EMC 2 - EMC Design

Training scope:

  • EMC 1 - this training covers key aspects of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, testing methods, and preparation for pre-compliance and full compliance testing across various industries, from documentation to production.
  • EMC 2 - this training focuses on practical aspects of PCB and electronic system design considering EMC requirements, interference elimination, and improving device immunity, taking into account physical phenomena occurring in the environment.
