EPD Electromagnetic Flowmeter

The EPD electromagnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. When a conductive liquid flows perpendicular to the magnetic field lines, it generates an induced voltage proportional to the flow velocity, enabling accurate measurement of the volumetric flow rate of the fluid. The flowmeter consists of a sensor and transmitter, where the sensor generates the magnetic field in the measurement pipe, and electrodes installed inside the pipe measure the induced voltage.

Main Features:

  • Measurement independent of liquid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, and conductivity
  • No moving parts, preventing pressure loss and pipe blockages
  • Measurement of electrically conductive liquids and liquids with low solid content
  • Optimal pipe system design: pipe diameter before the meter at least 5D, after the meter 2D
  • Self-diagnosis function that checks the magnetizing signal, empty pipe, and contaminated electrode

Applications:

  • Wastewater treatment
  • Seawater desalination modules
  • Potable water treatment
  • Sewage systems
  • Dyeing machines
  • Food production
  • Pharmaceutical machines
  • Solar energy and wet PCB processing
