The SP series consists of thermal dispersion flow switches that respond to liquid flow and provide a switching output. The thermal dispersion flow switch SP is made up of two temperature sensors. One serves as a reference and measures the temperature of the liquid in which the probe is immersed, while the second sensor is heated, creating a temperature differential between the two sensors. As the flow rate increases, the cooling effect reduces the temperature differential. As a result, higher flow leads to greater cooling, enabling the detection of flow changes. A reduction in the temperature differential between the sensors indicates that the set flow value has been exceeded, while an increase in the differential indicates a decrease in flow. The SP series is available in various versions with options for length, construction materials, and output types, allowing it to be tailored to a wide range of applications.
