The EG series consists of magnetostrictive level transmitters with a dual-float design, utilizing buoyancy, magnetostriction, and advanced electronic technologies for precise level measurement of various liquids, including multi-component immiscible liquids. In the standard EG model, a float, matched to the density of the measured liquid, moves up and down along the transmitter's rod, floating on the liquid's surface due to its buoyancy. The float contains a magnet that interacts with the magnetic field generated by the current pulse sent by the transmitter's electronics.
The electronics measure the time of flight (TOF) between pulses, which allows for precise determination of the float's position and, thus, the liquid level. The result is transmitted as an electrical signal, typically 4-20 mA, enabling its use in many industrial applications.
