HOW PROTECHNIC TRANSPORT CASES HAVE BEEN IMPROVED COMPARED TO OTHER MANUFACTURERS

One of the first enhancements Protechnic made in designing transport cases was the use of extruded box profiles. Most other transport case manufacturers use simple aluminum angle profiles or so-called "Christmas tree" extruded profiles, which have both external and internal sections. While these increase strength compared to simple angles, they do not match the strength of our exclusive extruded box profiles that we use.

Transport cases are also finished with anodizing or powder coating, making them more durable than traditional mill finish coatings used by most other transport case manufacturers.

Traditional transport cases are also made from laminated plywood panels that are riveted to the profiles. Although this is durable, we opted for lightweight panels with an open core that are glued to the profiles. This allows for cases with a much cleaner appearance, reduced weight, and the use of fewer rivets in the construction, which provides a time advantage in building compared to plywood cases.

It is also possible to use neoprene bead gaskets, which create a waterproof barrier between the lid and the base of the transport case.
