Rack Case

A 19-inch RACK CASE enclosure is a standardized frame or case designed to hold multiple electronic modules housed in a protective casing. Each module has a front panel that is 19 inches wide (482.6 mm), hence the name 19-inch rack mount enclosure. The 19-inch dimensions include the edges that extend out from each side of the device, allowing the module to be secured to the rack frame with screws.

The rack mount enclosure is very durable and highly configurable. This design allows us to build enclosures tailored to a wide range of applications. Rack mount enclosures can be made in various configurations to fit any components you need.

What sizes are available for rack mount enclosures?

The standard design for 19″ rack mount enclosures has a height of 6U and more, including fully swiveling casters. They are mounted on transport boards made of 18 mm thick birch plywood. All enclosures are supplied with 2 sets of mounts per U to ensure readiness for use.

Width and depth have standardized dimensions, while height is adjustable. Height is marked in units of 'U', where 1 U is 1.75 inches (44.45 mm) or one rack unit, often used to measure electronic modules.

Rack mount enclosures are available in heights of 1U, 2U, 3U, 4U, 5U, 6U, 7U, 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, as well as custom sizes above 12U. Fully custom rack mount enclosures with specified width, height, and depth are also available.
