With an impregnation with Fireblocker™ mechanical strength can be increased and the fraying in high temperature areas can be minimized.

Properties

  • available with reinforcement of glass lining or chrome steel wire
  • temperature resistance: up to +550 °C with glass lining, up to +1000 °C with chrome steel wire
  • decompositon temperature up to +1500 °C
  • physically absolutely harmless (class 0 of directive 97/69/EC)
  • bio-soluble
  • low heat conductivity
  • relatively good chemical resistance
  • water-soluble
  • annealing loss 15-20%
  • REACH-compliant

Material

  • consists of calcium-magnesium-silicate fibres.

Areas of Applicaton

  • mainly used at foundries and for furnace construction.
