Honeywell company started the journey on the market as early as in 1906 and operated as Honeywell Heating Specialty Co. Incorporated founded by Mark Honeywell. Years before that, the company already started to form, after the invention of the furnace regulator in 1885 when the inventor Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm.

The company specialized mainly in making hot water heat generators.

In 1969 Honeywell took a big part in the Moon mission support initiative - when on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission, Honeywell’s thousands of produced parts were used in electronic devices that made up the Stabilization and Control Systems (SCS). Additionally, Honeywell pilots also helped with flight testing.

Today, the company’s headquarters are in Charlotte, North Carolina, US and they operate around the world in 70 countries in all continents. 

Honeywell products and solutions have an incredibly extensive range of applications and options of usage in many different industrial fields, such as aerospace, buildings & cities, chemicals & materials, healthcare & pharma, industrial & manufacturing, retail, safety departments, and sporting goods.

The company works in compliance with many regulations, for example the conflict minerals statement - regulation that pledges countries from the union that import tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold, to make sure that in the delivery chain there are no products that could be financing an armed conflict.

Additionally, they work towards environmental safety and constantly try to reduce the greenhouse gases, energy and water waste, reduce general and hazardous waste in landfills.
