Explosion suppression can best be described as an extremely fast, fully automatic extinguishing system.  An explosion is detected in a very early stage and suppressed by injecting suppression powder.

LIMIT THE DOWN-TIME

The Flash explosion suppression system is the only dust explosion suppression system not subjected to pressure equipment directives or it does not rely on pressurized vessels.  The system complies to EN14373:2005.

Based on the Flash explosion suppression system and operating in a similar manner, Flash chemical barriers are capable of detection an explosion in an early stage by means of pressure or flame detectors.

The Flash chemical barrier is modular in design and consists of three major building blocks:
Explosion detector(s), Control Unit, Gas Generator and suppressor bottle.

Flexible control units for both simple and complex systems

• CUP0302D-S: stand-alone control unit for single zone, typically used in simple stand-alone safety systems such as chemical barriers, fast-closing valves.  Works with up to 4 detectors and 16 suppressant bottles.

• CUP0302D-B: control unit for more complex safety systems such as an multi-zone explosion suppression.

 EXTENSION OPTIONS:

• CUP0302D-E: an extension unit for up to 6 zones, 24 detectors, 96 suppressant bottles

• CUP0302D-Z: an extension unit for 1 zone
