Our offer includes industrial protection devices.
There are many norms concerning machine protection, which are constantly evolving, their change implements new concepts for contracts and machine users. EN 954-1 norm (using protection categories) is gradually replaced with EN ISO 13849-1 (PL-Performance Level) and EN 62061 (SIL-Safety Integrity Level). PL Performance Level – this concept is used for electric, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic solutions for improving safety. SIL (Safety Integrity Level) used only for electric, electronic, and programmable solutions for improving safety. PL is a measure of reliability of safety functions, that is a level of providing safety or work. PL is distinguished by 5 levels (a-e). PL e means the best reliability and is required in the highest safety measure norms.
Terms complying with EN ISO 13849-1:
PL - Performance Level, divided (from a to e)
PLr - Required Performance Level – required level of safety measures
MTTFd – average faultless time, low, medium and high division.
B10d - average number of work cycles, achieved before time, in which 10% of testing devices will be damaged up to a risky level (including pneumatic and electromechanical components).
T10d - average time up to a moment, in which 10% of components will be damaged up to a dangerous level (work time of the componen is limited to T10d)
CCF - Common Cause Failure
DC - Diagnostic Coverage - divided to low, medium and high.
PFHD - Probability of Dangerous Failure per Hour
