ICAR Italian Company was established in 1946 and today is one of the leading manufacturers of electrical capacitors and systems in low and medium voltage, with 70 years of experience in research, design, development and production of high-performance capacitors.

As the first company in the world, ICAR started developing capacitors in metallized polypropylene at the beginning of the 60s. 

Their assortment of products and solutions consists of mv power factor corrections, LV power factor corrections, emi filters, power electronics capacitors, energy storage capacitors, lighting capacitors, motor capacitors, surge arrester capacitors & filters.

They specialize in passive components and power capacitors.

All products can have different options for applications, such as green energies, energy transmission, general industry, transportation, civil engineering, tertiary, research labs, medical fields, lighting.

ICAR also received ISO 9001 certification and works in compliance with the Conflict Mineral policy - regulation that pledges countries from the union that import tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold, to make sure that in the delivery chain there are no products that could be financing an armed conflict; and owns an IRIS certification (International Railway Industry Standard).
