Poseico S.p.A. was established in 2001 and parted from the former Semiconductors Department of Ansaldo Trasporti. Poseico Power Electronics specializes in production and supplying high power semiconductors (diodes, thyristors, GTO,PPIGBTs), accessories (heatsink, gate lead, etc.) and power electronic converters, including power assemblies and traction rectifiers. They work in compliance with significant international policies, such as 2002/95/EC directive (restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment - RoHS).

Their assortment includes devices and solutions such as high power semiconductors, high power insulated modules, heatsinks and cooling systems, accessories (gate leads , custom gate drivers and snubber circuits), clamping systems and Insulated clamping systems, and Power assemblies. They also develop solutions connected with rectifier bridges for traction applications, Voltage Limiting Devices (VLD-O type), disconnectors, frequency converters for ship to shore connection, and power converters for nuclear fusion.
