The SR series of shock resistors for PCB mounting are manufactured from a precisely blended mixture of clay, aluminum oxide, and carbon. After mixing, the material is pressed into a specific shape and then fired under controlled conditions at high temperature.

This sintering process produces a ceramic, carbon resistor that is 100% active material with minimal dimensions. The SR series features gold-plated brass pins for easy PCB mounting. Dielectric and mechanical strength are enhanced by a UL94V-0 approved epoxy resin coating.

With compact size and a high energy shock resistance rating, the modular SR series is designed to provide an optimal solution for various power electronics applications, particularly for soft start of DC-link capacitors in power converter supplies. Being inherently non-inductive and capable of withstanding momentary high-voltage impulses, the SR series is equally effective in surge protection and surge discharge in power circuits.
